Aika
and Terence sat at the bench opposite of the water fountain at the park on the
cold winter evening.
Aika:
Come to think of it. How did you know I was here?
Terence:
Well…it’s kind of a long story.
Aika:
Right….
Terence:
Thanks to my staffs and your friend’s help too.
Aika:
My friends? I don’t see them. [Looks
behind Terence]
Terence:
[Sighs and pecks Aika’s forehead]

Terence:
I bet they’re hiding somewhere and spying on us.

Oh! Well…I left from St Paul and I had to disguise myself from being found by
the school and even Archie and the others as well. That’s why I cut my hair
off. [Touches her hair]

I really loved your long hair; it looks prettier in you.
Aika:
Really? [Blushes]
Terence:
Of course, I’ve stolen your heart at last. [Grabs her left shoulder]

I can’t believe I’ve fallen for the most delinquent guy in the entire academy.
Terence:

Aika:
Of course you…well you were…. I’ve always hated you for everything! You even
stole my precious first kiss last summer when we were in Scotland! [Blushes and
avoids eye contact with him by facing the left side]

I was dressed as a boy and worked part time as a musician in a restaurant.
Sometimes I worked as a waitress whenever the restaurant gets busy. It was hard

[Grabs Aika’s hands and looks at them]
Aika:
Don’t look at them! It’s embarrassing. My hands are always rough and I tend to
get a lot of scratches on them.

I’m sorry that I left silently, leaving you a small letter in my room. I wish I
could take you with me but…
Aika:
It’s alright…I did cried a lot back when you left me there but in my heart I’ve
always believed that we could meet again somewhere. No matter how long it
takes, even if it takes 5 years or even 20 years. I will never stop waiting for
you. [Lays on his right shoulder]
Terence:
{Leans on her] I’ve always been worried about you. I couldn’t stop thinking
about you in a second. I did plan to go back to England and get you out of
there but I was busy with work so I couldn’t. Who would ever thought my tarzan
could actually leave and survive in the cold England all by herself. It was
hard for you isn’t it?
Aika:
It was fun and a great adventure I ever had. It was you and Mr Albert who’ve
given me this idea to find my own path.
Terence:
My heart is finally at ease after all this time.
Aika:
You’ll never stop worrying about me, will you?
Terence:

Aika:
[Smile and closed her eyes] It’s been a while that I get to relax like this.
Terence:

Aika:
When I got back to Michigan, things went back to normal. Well I’ve met Annie
and the others not as a girl but as a boy instead.

Aika:
They’ll probably angry for leaving them like that so I just want to be like my
true self once in a while.
Terence:

Aika:
Well this is how I really sound. It sounds pretty deep for a girl right?
Terence:

Aika:

I wish I could see you off but I have my violin competition going on at that

I’ll probably reply your texts late cause of the huge time difference from here
and school as well.

I’ve been waiting forever for the time like this to come.

[Snowing]
Terence:
Ai, look! It’s snowing.

Wow! [Stands up and walk towards the fountain then raises her right arm to
catch the snow]

What are you doing?
Aika:
Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to get some snow.
Terence:
[Sighs] What an idiot…That’s impossible, it’ll just melt on your palms right
away even if you’ve catch it.
Aika: I know that but it’s been a long time that I
get to play in the snow.
Terence:
I’ll get something warm for us to drink. [Gets up and leaves]

At
the vending machine where Terence gets the drinks. Kanade and the group
approaches him.
Kanade:
Terry-san!
Terence:
You and Lily too? Why are you guys still here? [Places the coins in and picks
the drinks]
Lily:
It’s my first time seeing smile like that compared to the first time we’ve met.
Terence:
I guess so… [Presses the buttons]
[Drinks
dropped and Terence picks up the drinks from the vending machine]
Terence:
I’ve got my drinks so I better get going. I don’t want to keep her waiting.

Kanade:
Thanks to you, Ai-chan…she’s finally smiling again. Ai-chan never talks about
herself much back when she was America.
Terence:
I see…once I leave, could you look after her for me.
Kanade:
Of course! She’s my friend after all.
Terence:
Thank you! I’ll be borrowing her from you for today.
Kanade:
Good luck! [Waves] “I’m so happy for Ai-chan…Have lots of fun for today since

[Turned to him] What took you so long?
Terence:
Sorry! Here I got you some hot chocolate. [Passes the can of hot chocolate to
Aika]

Thank you! [Opens the can and starts drinking] It’s warm and delicious!
Terence:
[Looks at Aika and smile while having his drink] That ever forget that smile.
You look beautiful with it.
Aika:
[Looks at Terence with her glittery eyes] Okay!!!
Terence:
You’re such a kid.
Aika:
[Stops and blushes] Sorry…
Terence:
[Pats her head] It’s fine, that’s how you really are after all.

Aika:
I’m sure Archie, Annie, Stear and Patty wouldn’t stop worrying about me. I
think they’ll be angry with me for leaving them like that, without contacting
them.
Terence:
Well why didn’t you just give them a call when you’ve reached pony home?
Aika:

Aika:
I’ve found my birth parents and my real name.

My name was crafted on it but the other half wasn’t clear. The only letters I
could see was “Ai”. Ever since my childhood, I’ve always been trying to look
for my real parents and everyone in school said they abandoned me but I never
stop waiting for them to get me.

Well of course I was a little angry with them for leaving me behind, well my
mom didn’t intend to. It’s a long story. So here I am, starting my new life in
a new school, new town and also in the country where I’ve never been to. My
school life is so peaceful without seeing Eliza or Neil’s faces.
Terence:
It wouldn’t be fun without Archie and the others right?
Aika:
[Nodded] We did met after I left St Paul but in disguise.

Aika:
Yes! I was dressed as a boy when I’ve visited Anthony’s grave. We’ve met by
accident. I felt guilty after what I did in England so that’s why I didn’t want
to show myself in front of them nor contact them.

But once I’ve graduate from high school, I will go back to America then I’ll
enrol in a music academy since I’m aiming to be a professional violinist or
even take part in an orchestra.

comes I’ll come for you. “Once we grow a little older, you’ll be my wife and
we’ll be together for life”

{Grabs Terence’s hands and leans it on her forehead] Wait for me…

Of course but I’ll still come visit you sometimes.

When things go fine, I’ll try to show myself up to Annie and the others.

Oh yeah! I really want you to meet my parents! I’ll introduce you to them and
my little sister is a big fan of you. She’ll be really thrilled if you come.
Terence:
Thanks! Of course I’ll come. I need to properly introduce myself after all as
your boyfriend. [Blushed]

{Nodded with a smile]
Terence:
It’s getting chilly here; let’s get out here.
Aika:
Ok! I’ll show you around time and oh yeah don’t forget to put your disguise on
or else someone will see you.
Terence:
[Quickly puts on his contact lenses and black sweater then covers his head with
the hoodie] Right!
Aika:
Being a celebrity sure is tough.
Terence:
Yeah I really hate this disguise thing, heaps of paparazzis every where and I
don’t want you to be involved too.
Aika:
Ok!
Terence:
[Holds Aika’s left and starts walking] Let’s go.
